On opendata.archieven.nl you can find all the open datasets of archieven.nl collected in one place to browse and download individually. The purpose of this site is to give insight into the available datasets and the accompanying metadata per organisation.

Harvesting

In order to retrieve datasets in bulk, a different process is available: a so-called OAI-PMH endpoint.

Opendata standards

There are various dataset registers for collecting and offering datasets (for instance data.overheid.nl ). In order to standardise the available open datasets as best as possible there are certain requirements the datasets and their metadata should meet. In the case of data.overheid.nl, the international standard DCAT is specified for Dutch data catalogues as DCAT-DONL.
